The Yuasa NP17-12I is a 12V, 17Ah, maintenance free rechargeable sealed lead acid battery ideal for stand-by power applications, designed with female threaded terminal/bolt terminals. This battery can be mounted on its side with no performance loss. Mainly used for Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Golf Trolleys and so on. This battery should be charged with a constant voltage charger at 2.3 V per cell standby and 2.5 V per cell with a current limit of 0.25 x capacity (Ah) for cyclic applications (max 20 hour charging).

Battery Installation:
1. Good ventilation: Avoid using in confined spaces to prevent hydrogen accumulation (although it is "maintenance-free", trace amounts of gas may still be produced when overcharged).
2. Temperature control: The best working temperature is 20~25℃. High temperature (>40℃) will accelerate aging, and low temperature (<0℃) will reduce capacity.
3. Avoid direct sunlight: UV rays will damage the shell.
4. Placement direction: Usually installed upright, not inverted or sideways (to prevent uneven distribution of electrolyte).
5. When multiple batteries are connected in parallel, ensure that the length of the connecting wires is consistent to reduce the difference in internal resistance.
